Life Transitions, Purpose & Identity in Christ

Find Steady Footing for
Whatever Comes Next

Some seasons change slowly. Others change all at once. Either way, when the ground shifts underneath you, it’s worth having somewhere steady to figure out who you are in this next chapter.

What this might
feel like

Life transitions counseling isn’t about rushing you to figure it all out. It’s a space to make sense of what this season is asking of you, reconnect with your values and your identity in Christ, and build real next steps forward instead of just waiting for things to settle.

  • A major change, planned or unexpected, career, relationship, health, or otherwise, that you want to navigate with clarity.
  • New questions about purpose and identity as you figure out who you’re becoming.
  • Wondering where God fits into this season of your life.
  • Feeling disconnected from who you used to be, without a clear sense of who you’re becoming.
  • Wanting to move forward, but not sure what forward even looks like yet.

This is for you if…

You’re in the middle of a change that feels bigger than you expected.

You feel unsteady in who you are right now, even if things “look fine” from outside.

You want a space to process, not just push through.

You want clarity on purpose and identity that’s grounded in your faith, not separate from it.

Our approach

In session, your therapist uses Motivational Interviewing to help you clarify your values and build real next steps, and works through the thought patterns that show up during major change using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

“Forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to
what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal.”

Philippians 3:13–14

FAQ

What counts as a “life transition” worth bringing to therapy?
Any change, big or small, that has shifted how you see yourself, your relationships, or your place in the world. You don’t need a dramatic event to deserve support.
What if my transition doesn’t feel like “enough” for therapy?
If it’s affecting you, it belongs here. There’s no threshold of difficulty required.
How long does it typically take to work through a transition?
It depends on the person and the season. Some clients find clarity in a few months, others want ongoing support through a longer chapter. You and your therapist will revisit that together as you go.
