Timothy Hughes is a native of the great city of Chester, South Carolina, where he was
raised in a close-knit family by parents married for over 42 years alongside his six
siblings. As the fourth child and middle sibling, Timothy learned early the importance of community, collaboration, support, and empathy which are values that continue to shape his approach to counseling and ministry.
His faith journey deepened profoundly during a time living overseas, away from family and familiar support. Isolated and without a support system, Timothy leaned fully into his relationship with God through prayer, scripture, and reflection. It was in this
intimate walk with the Lord that he discovered his calling to serve others by integrating faith with mental wellness.
Timothy is an independently licensed psychotherapist in both Georgia and South
Carolina, holding degrees in Education and Counseling. He is also a certified classroom
teacher with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families. His
integrative counseling approach draws from multiple models to best support his clients,
specializing in men’s issues, stress, self-esteem struggles, anxiety, and spirituality. He also incorporates mindfulness and activity therapy to help clients achieve holistic well-being.
Having traveled to nearly 20 countries, Timothy brings a broad perspective and deep compassion to his work. He believes wellness is a lifelong journey, and with the right resources and support, anyone can achieve it.
Timothy leads a transformative mission to reconcile faith and mental health in a powerful way. Recognizing that the mind, body, and heart are deeply intertwined, Partners For Peace provides holistic care that addresses all parts of a person’s being. Grounded in the truth of Proverbs 15:13, “By sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken,” Timothy emphasizes the importance of healing the wounds of the heart to restore and strengthen the spirit. “I want to encourage you to move forward because there is so much better for you. You have a God given purpose in the world, and I am here to point you to Jesus to find it!”
Hello! My name is Flore Francois, and I am a Clinical Mental Health Therapist Intern with a unique background that enriches my therapeutic practice. I hold a Master of Arts (MA) degree from Liberty University, where I focused on integrating evidence-based therapeutic practices with the healing power of faith to guide individuals and families through life’s challenges. Additionally, I have a Master of Health Science (MSHS) in Clinical Research from Trident University International, which provides me with a strong foundation in health sciences and research methodologies.
As I transition into this therapeutic role, I am dedicated to helping clients navigate their difficulties, including brokenness, fear, insecurity, grief, and disappointment from unmet expectations. I firmly believe that “everyone needs a therapist” and a safe space to manage life’s challenges. My goal is to foster growth, healing, and self-discovery through a meaningful therapeutic relationship and an integrative approach, as I want to see my clients flourish beyond life’s setbacks.
Recognizing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) to tailor individualized treatment plans that meet each client’s unique needs. In our sessions, we will explore emotions and thoughts together, promoting a safe and supportive environment for personal development.
As a person of faith, I believe in the transformative power of God’s love and grace to help clients rediscover their strength and purpose. Whether you seek spiritual guidance or simply a space to process your experiences, I am here to support you on your journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, writing, running, and experiencing new cultures. Traveling inspires and grounds me in my practice.
I specialize in working with young adults, pre-marital couples, grief, couples therapy, individual therapy for adults, PTSD/trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also address issues related to perfectionism, self-esteem, adolescents, and spirituality.
If you’re ready to take the first step toward healing and growth, I would be honored to support you. Together, we can embark on your healing journey!
